2nd January 1699 - On this day, the tenth Sikh guru, Guru Gobind Singh introduced Khalsa. He introducing the five k's, the five articles of faith that Khalsa Sikhs wear at all the time. They are Uncut hair (kesh), Kangha (a wooden comb), Kara (an iron bracelet), Kuchera (100% cotton tie able undergarment), Kirpan (an iron dagger large enough to defend oneself).
